When I was visiting Shawn at his house in Carson City, we decided to take a hike to the top of the hill behind his house. It is very steep and sandy. For every 2 steps you take forward you slide back one. Consequently, we tried to step near rocks and grass so we wouldn’t slide back so far. When we were ¾ of the ways up the hill I step near a rock only to focus on what I thought was a rock next to my foot. It turn out to be a snake. I jumped up in the air when I saw it! I tried very hard not to stand on my feet, but of course you need to stand on a least one. So I picked the one farthest from the snake. The snake really didn’t notice me. He just kept laying their and let me take his picture. Finally, I nudge him with a stick and he crawled off.
